Being local, Carmilla and Craig were very much aware of the seasonality of the Southern Highlands weather and were very certain that they wanted a cool season to get married in. So set a day in May.

They were also looking for casual wedding reception venue that was going to fit with the vision they had for their wedding day

They decided on the local Burrawang School of Arts  for their reception, and then wanted to find somewhere outdoors but within a 10 min radius of Burrawang, to have their ceremony.

We were recommended to them by the reception venue, and once they had seen the garden, they decided that this is where they wanted to say their vows.

Carmilla in particular thought the Wedding Gazebo was the backdrop she wanted. With its crisp white paint and architectural elements, it makes for great photos and is also  a functional structure under which to sign legal documents.

The curved pathway through The Cherry Blossom Walk allows for a long and gradual viewing of the bride as she walks towards her fiancée waiting on the edge of the gazebo lawn.

The day began with a crisp frost but emerged into a beautiful, still, warm day with the occasional fluffy cloud.

Ellyse, from Red Poppy Florist of Bowral was engaged to dress the gazebo and she used a gentle off-white chiffon to drape the posts and two stunning arrangements of purple carnations, mauve roses and white lisianthus to frame the entrance of the gazebo.

With purple being Camilla’s favourite colour, she arrived in a gorgeous purple SS commodore which complimented the purple carnations in her bouquet perfectly.

Carmilla was accompanied by her step-father down the cherry walk and preceded by her grandmother, mum, flower girl and Maid of honour.

With the ceremony completed, group and portrait photos were completed in the garden before the newly weds and their family and friends continued on to Robertson to continue the celebrations.

We congratulate Carmilla and Craig on their wedding Day and wish them all the best for their future together.
