Ash and Wade wanted a magical garden wedding that was simple but elegant and reflected them as a couple.
They were looking for a venue that was different from the run of the mill venues in the Southern Highlands, allowing them to have a morning wedding ceremony followed by a simple after ceremony celebration for their closest family and friends.
They had always planned on having a small number of guests so that they could spend meaningful time with all of them. As their guest list included several elderly family members and small children a morning ceremony and lunch event was perfect.
They were also looking for a venue that would allow them to do some DIY but also allow them to have the vendors they wanted.
The Secret garden ticked all their boxes- a beautiful garden setting for both the ceremony and the after-ceremony celebration. As well as lots of different garden areas where photos could be taken to create long lasting memories.
We have a great three-hour package that will allow couples to complete a ceremony and still have plenty of time for an after-ceremony celebration.
They entrusted their catering to The chef in your kitchen. Kelly and her professional team arrived on site set up and provided 2 1/2 hours of fabulous substantial finger food that the guests absolutely loved.
The day started out drizzly, so we went for the wet weather option and set up on our Deck. However, by the time the ceremony was scheduled to start the rain was down to a fine mist, so the bride and groom opted to go ahead and use the garden area they had selected and used our clear umbrellas to keep everyone dry.
By the time the ceremony was complete, the clouds had cleared, and it turned out to be just a perfect day for a celebration within a garden setting.
The main entertainment was a violinist that played both during the ceremony and the after-ceremony celebration, which just added that extra touch of elegance to the day.
The after-ceremony celebration was held on The Secret Garden’s terrace and deck area overlooking the cottage lawn, allowing both the children and the adults plenty of room to participate in lawn games but still feel close to and part of the main celebrations.
After a couple of hours of gourmet finger food and drinks, they had speeches and cut the cake concluding the day.
Because the celebrations were completed by 1pm, Ash and Wade were able to leave for their honey moon straight from the celebrations.
Ash and Wade wanted their wedding day to be as personal as possible, reflexing what was important to them, good company, an elegant but casual after ceremony celebration and all in a setting that created that relaxed and celebratory vibe.
Our biggest congratulations to Ash and Wade and we wish them all the best for their future together.
