After several postponements, Belinda and Joe finally got to exchange vows on a cool but sunny afternoon in The Secret Garden, Wildes Meadow.
After booking their reception at The Robertson Public House, Bel and Joe got in contact to see if their date was free to have their ceremony at The Secret Garden. Whilst I cautioned them about how cool it can be in August, they just laughed and said as locals’ cool temperatures did not worry them, and they certainly did not want to get married when it was hot.
A few warm days early in August pushed the prunus trees into blossom and the grass became green overnight which set the scene for a beautiful garden wedding.
Bel and Joe selected the crab apple lawn overlooking the lake for the ceremony spot.
It was certainly a cool day with a slight breeze but with plenty of sunshine it didn’t feel like the middle of winter.
The groom, along with a little help from his parents, brother and grandmother arrived early, and armed with a set of diagrams, instruction and a Ute load of stuff, they went about styling the ceremony area as Bel wanted.
A semicircular of flower installation and three rattan mats defined the space her and Joe would stand to exchange their vows. Bec Borromeo from Forever After Ceremonies officiated on the day.
Our classic vintage signing table was simply adorned with some hessian and greenery. This is all it really needs to dress it up.
Being prepared for cold weather, Bel organised a basket of blankets for guest use, but they were not really needed.
Images were captured beautifully by the guys from Marry Me Movies.
After the official proceedings were complete the Bel and Joe spent time being congratulated by their guest and having photos taken.
Guest then continued on to The Robertson Public House to be greeted but a large open fire, grazing plates and drinks to past the time while Bel and Joe completed their portraits and were able to join them for their reception.
As always we wish the newlyweds all the best for their future together.
