Caroline and Earnest had their hearts set on a cool climate autumn wedding.
So, being from Sydney, it was natural for them to be drawn to the beautiful and much cooler Southern Highlands.
Autumn in the Southern Highlands is spectacular and in The Secret Garden there are an array of trees displaying vivid shades of scarlet, saffron, and russet. The Autumn days here are clear and crisp, and the skies seem to be an endless soft blue.
When Caroline and Earnest came and viewed The Secret Garden, they could immediately see that the garden offered them everything they wanted for both their wedding ceremony and the look they were after for their wedding photography. In particular, they loved the variety of garden rooms and landscapes available at the Secret Garden that would allow their photographer, Bose Creative, to achieve some stunning shots.

Having a morning wedding at the end of May, they were a little concerned about the weather being cool, but an unseasonably warm autumn produced a spectacular day of warm temperatures, clear skies and some of the best Autumn colour seem in years.
They choose The Fountain Garden for their ceremony. With its bubbling fountain and spectacular backdrop of the russet red foliage of the swamp oak, it was a stunning space in which to say their vows.
Caroline’s favourite colour is burgundy, so it was the obvious choice to set the colour theme for the day, with the bride’s maids wearing burgundy dresses and the arbour being draped in burgundy chiffon.
Whist burgundy is a bold colour, Caroline did not stop there but added a flower arrangement of natives and exotics flowers in beautiful bright colours to compliment the burgundy draping on the arbour. This produced a stunning focal point for the ceremony.
After a short stop in the powder room to do final touch-ups, the bride – accompanied by live music – arrived through The Fountain Garden arbour to her future husband and waiting family and friends.
After the ceremony, the bridal party spent a couple of hours getting some fabulous garden shots while guests moved on to the reception venue.
