Jessica and Craig had decided that a small intimate garden wedding ceremony was what they wanted for their big day.

After looking at several venues they settled on The Secret Garden. Jessica had seen images of our Wedding Gazebo that overlooks the ornamental lake, and it certainly fit with the vision she and Craig had for their wedding day.

Autumn can be such a mellow time in the garden with the beautiful russet, golden and red tones of the deciduous trees and in May it is the cherries that tend to shine.

Having seen images from previous autumn weddings, Jessica thought it would be perfect for her and her dad to stroll along the cherry walk beneath the spreading branches of the Cherry trees, in all their Autumn glory, to emerge out at the Gazebo to be by Craig’s side.

We draped the entrance to the gazebo and Melanie from Flowers by Van Til installed three gorgeous arrangements made up of proteas, red- and coffee-colored roses and peppercorn tree foliage. Set against the brilliant white of the gazebo, they looked stunning.

The day dawned very cold with drizzly rain but by mid-morning, the clouds had lessened to leave a cool overcast day. Perfect for getting those perfect wedding photos.

After the ceremony, Jessica and Craig and their family moved on to a local restaurant to continue their celebrations.

We wish them all the best in their married life and thank them for allowing us to be part of their wedding day.
