With a hint of a traditional Indian wedding, but with the relaxed feel of a modern Australian celebration, Fariha and Sahil celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception at The Secret Garden.
Fariha and Sahil wanted a small, relaxed garden party wedding with their ceremony in a beautiful space outside and lunch under The Wisteria Arbour. A perfect choice for mid-January as it is the coolest spot in the garden.
The bride and groom with help from family set up all the hire equipment the day before with last minute styling being completed the following morning by Fariha sister.
Along with tables, chairs, glassware crockery and cutlery from South Coast party hire they also hired Braza AirStreem to supply drinks. This added a touch of whimsy and fun to the day.
Catering was by One Pot Catering and the stunning cake and other deserts by PandaCo
Fariha and Sahil chose to do most of their photos before guests arrived, which is really sensible as their hair and make was at hair best and the couple then got to relax and enjoy their wedding feast and spend time with their guests, instead of being dragged away from the celebrations to get those perfect shots.
Adiz Photography did an outstanding job capturing some exquisite images of the couple and their guests. Each photo has a timeless elegance that will be cherished by Fariha and Sahil for the rest of their lives.
The highlight for us was the wedding ceremony in the Fountain Garden, a beautiful garden space that is serene and calm with a backdrop of towering trees and clipped formal hedges which was beautifully accented with a riot of colour with blooms supplied by Atelier Bloom
Fariha look resplendent in her white and gold sari whilst Sahil went for non-traditional, but very elegant, black-tie attire.
Georgia White, from Southern Highlands Musicians, played and sung many of the couples’ favourite songs during the ceremony and lunch.
Once the ceremony, again a mixture of traditional Indian and modern civil service was completed the bride and groom and their guest sat down to a lovely, relaxed meal under the Wisteria Arbour. With large lawn areas either side there was plenty of room for guests to mingle and relax with the celebration concluding with the cutting of the cake and serving of desserts.
Celebrations continued with an evening event at the Black Barn, a large Airbnb in Bowral.
It was such a privilege to be part of Fariha and Sahil’s celebrations and we wish them all the best in their future together.
