When Kellie first contacted The Secret Garden, her brief was “My fiancée and I are seeking a beautiful space to be married in this Autumn, followed by a small daytime garden party reception.”
An easy request to fulfil with the gardens always looking special in early April with the windflowers in full flower and the camellia sasanqua’s just starting to come into masses of bloom!
With 80 quests invited and an April date set, Kellie and Nour set about organising their Garden Party wedding.
They chose The Rose Lawn for their ceremony space. With its large flat lawn and space for 80 chairs and an Autumn flush of roses, it was the perfect space in which to exchange their vows.
They wanted lawn games for the children and young at heart to enjoy during the day. These were set up on The Arbour Lawn.
As required with all reception packages at The Secret Garden, Kellie and Nour needed to decide on a wet weather option for their reception. Kellie had her heart set on a small Sperry Tent which she was able to access through South Coast Party Hire. The tent fitted perfectly on the cottage lawn which is adjacent to the rose lawn and close to The Arbour Lawn.
They chose the Grand Bistro Restaurant and catering to provide food and did DIY drinks.
After a light and short-lived shower early in the morning the day turned bright and sunny.
Kellie arrived in a beautiful 1959 white Daimler.
Proceeded by a flower girl, page boy and three bridesmaids, Kellie and her mum entered the rose garden through The Wisteria Arbour to join the waiting groom and his attendants. The evergreen hedge at the back of The Rose Garden created a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony.
After the ceremony guest enjoyed a casual lunch on the cottage lawn and were encouraged to wonder the garden at their leisure, grab a coffee from Grind + Brew and/or play lawn games.
We wish Kellie and Nour all the best for their future together
