Holly and Micah were much taken by the date 11/11 /22 and were extremely pleased when they discovered that The Secret Garden was available for their wedding ceremony.

Having decided to hold their reception at the Canyonleigh Community Hall they then needed a space in which to conduct their ceremony and have their photos taken.

An outdoor venue, such as a garden, was always what they had in mind so the decision to book was an easy one once they had the garden.

With nearly 100 guests they decided the area around the Wedding Gazebo would be perfect for the ceremony. They chose to bring in a further 40 chairs to supplement the 24 that are part of the ceremony package. They arranged them in semi-circle either side of the path. An arrangement we have not seen before at the gazebo site, so it was lovely to see something different.

Lisa from Tiny Flower House in Moss Vale, who is one of the new generation of florists trying to work sustainably, was excited to be working in the garden. She endeavors to source flowers locally and tries to limit the use of non-recyclable products such as florist foam. To keep with this philosophy, she was very pleased to be able to source sphagnum moss for the garden. She used this to fill the tubes of chicken wire to maintain moisture levels to sustain the flowers all day.

The arrangements were made up of bright oranges dahlias and roses, cream roses, a touch of blue in the sea holly flowers and blue gum complimented by some lovely textural elements in the ferns and dried components. The overall effect was stunning against the white of the gazebo.

This floral theme was repeated in the bouquets.

The ceremony space was completed with our white wicker signing table and chairs.

Holly arrived in a gorgeous little MG driven by her dad and accompanied by her mother. Her bridesmaids wore different coloured long dresses and Holly’s gown was a sleeveless full length white dress with black embroidery on the bodice and around the hem.

Whilst a storm was predicted, and the radar indicated it was raining to the north and the south of us, it remained dry in the garden for the entire proceedings.

Family members lent a hand to set up drinks and food tables under the Wisteria Arbour so guests could enjoy post-ceremony refreshments whilst photos were being taken.

Then the bride and groom and their guests headed off to continue celebrations at Canyonleigh.

As always, we wish Holly and Micah all the best for their future together.
