Allana and Thomas brought together a great team of vendors to help them put on a lovely small lunch time celebration to allow them and their closest family and friends to celebrate their vow renewals.
They initially had in mind a really casual affair with picnic tables and lawn games and a few tables and bar stools under the wisteria arbour. However, with the unpredictable weather they enacted their wet weather plan and brought in Shoalhaven Event and Party Hire to install a marquee.
This was put up on the lawn adjacent to the wisteria arbour. On the adjacent lawn Katrina from A Game of Love set up an array of giant games to keep both the adults and children entertained throughout the day.
This set up was exactly what I had envisage when I designed this space, so it was extremely satisfying to see it work so well.
Katrina also set up picnic tables and bar tables and stools in the marquee and on the lawn and completed all the styling to make this space look fabulous and to create that relaxed Garden Party / picnic vibe that Allana and Thomas wanted.
Given the lifting of pandemic restrictions, Allana and Thomas thought there was no risk of covid impacting their day; unfortunately, their caterer had to cancel very last minute due to contracting covid.
After a sleepless night and a shout-out to the local community, Allana was super appreciative of Greer, from Delilah & Co Catering, for stepping in to provide a yummy spread at very short notice.
There is nothing that says lets party more than a cute drinks van supplying your favourite beverage. The girls from The Perky Petal Van have a great set up which can provide anything from coffee through to wine and fruit juice.
Tay from Tay Plain Music was excited to be in the garden for the third time this week to provide thoughtful music before and during the vow renewals and some upbeat tunes during the reception.
Whilst there was a series of light showers throughout the day this did not seem to dampen anyone’s spirit with everyone taking advantage of the garden space to enjoy the celebrations.
