THE FLOWERS
The Southern Highlands with its unique soil and climate produces spectacular spring blossom, stunning displays of spring bulbs and wonderful array of other spring flowering plants offering a huge range of colours and varieties.
At The Secret Garden, the spring floral displays change weekly starting with drifts of magnificent daffodils and hellebores in early spring, followed by the stunning crab apples, alpine phlox and wisteria in late September /early October, then the flowering cherries from early to mid-October, also by mid-October the azaleas and rhododendrons are out and then by the beginning of November the roses and peonies are starting to bloom.
Throughout spring we have a lovely variety of cut flowers, from ranunculus, anemones, cherry blossom, various viburnums, camellia, Dutch iris, roses and peonies that florist can use making your wedding that little bit more sustainable than importing cut flowers.
Be sure to visit the garden at the exact time of the year you will be getting married the following year, so you get to see just how unique the backdrop to your special day can be.

THE WEATHER
With warm days and cool nights, spring is the best of both worlds for those getting married. Have a beautiful garden wedding ceremony, surrounded by spectacular spring blossom, fresh air and brilliant sunshine. Once the ceremony is complete you and your guests can choose between a wonderful variety of local restaurants and reception venues to complete the festivities, or complete your day in the beautiful natural surroundings by setting up a marquee.
Imaging open fires, local food and wine and dancing into the night -fairy-tale stuff.

Whilst Spring weather can be a little unpredictable, there are always wet weather options and regardless of the weather the surroundings are always sensational.
